Created in 2023, Borrowed Scenery is part of a Performance emboding the longing for nature that is ever decreasing in flourishment on planet earth. The moving image piece takes inspiration from “借景”, or shakkei, which is a Japanese art form in which the background landscape is incorparated in the composition of a garden design. In Borrowed Scenery a window is created to a view that blooms in glory, but is not reality.
